Trust Decanting and Modification

I work with families from around the country and globally that are interested in migrating their trusts to South Dakota to take advantage of its progressive trust laws and friendly tax regime.

The two principal ways we accomplish this task is to either modify an existing trust, decant an existing trust to a new trust and have a qualified South Dakota Trustee appointed.
